Secret Halloween Costume

I actually put together a Halloween costume this year, and it's pretty damn good. I won't reveal the surprise yet, but I'll give you a hint: I'm being the woman in the center of this photograph, which was taken when she was young, still pretty, and not yet famous.

Club Soda

This is my new drink, a good drink, though they don't squirt it from blue glass bottles anymore. I think it's the same as seltzer, but maybe not. It seems to be the drink of ex-drunks (like me) -- maybe because it feels like you're drinking a cocktail. It's also cool, sparkly, and refreshing. Good with lemon, lime, and mint, too.

Today marks the 3-month anniversary of my climb up on The Wagon. This is the longest I've gone without drinking or smoking anything since I was 15.
